I would recommend you to search on the websites of some businesses/multinational companies that can match your professional criteria, so you can apply directly and receive a work visa. Try to check for countries that have low supply of electricians and offer great potential on you field. There are many opportunities for people like you, me, and others in many places. I am so sorry that you had a bad experience at the Cayman Islands. I also went to Belize last Summer and loved it so much that I want to go back soon. We drove from the Mayan Riviera to Belize and stayed only for a day since we had to go back to our resort, but we wished we had stayed longer. It is beautiful and cheap as you mentioned. Once you get all the "tourist" stops out of the way- stingray city, turtle bay etc. There is nothing to do, I stayed at seven mile beach, and was not impressed at all. The beach is pretty, but not spectacular- my last trip I went to Belize- and it was so much prettier, much less expensive, and had much more sea life to see! Wouldn't recommend the cayman islands at all. This was such a disappointing vacation.
